Growing up in a Navy Family

Last summer, Judy, Dave, Terry and I roamed around on the Haida, which is now docked in Hamilton, Ontario.  Judy and I grew up on two coasts, Nova Scotia and B.C., so we have fond memories of meeting our dad at the docks, looking for goodies in his briefcase and having dinner on board the ships. We had to "mind our manners" and "sit up straight", but how fortunate we were to eat in the Officers' Ward Room.  I have so many memories and will soon do a page about our life as Navy kids, living on two oceans.

Judy was the first person Christened on the Haida. The pic is of her by the Ship's Bell where her name is top of the list!  Also a pic of us sitting in the wardroom.
